.DISCUSSION...
Lighter winds than today with a few afternoon breezes are in the forecast for Friday
across the Borderland. Winds will begin to pick up and become breezy on Saturday
bringing enhanced fire weather conditions to the area on Saturday. By Sunday into
Monday, an approaching Pacific system will bring strong winds to the area leading
to back to back critical to extreme fire weather conditions to the area. Lighter winds
are in the forecast for Tuesday through the end of next work week, as high pressure
moves across the area with a warming trend appearing likely toward the middle and
latter part of next week. Vent rates through the weekend will
remain favorable due to deep mixing each afternoon.
