.DISCUSSION...
A surge of drier northeast flow is forecast to arrive this
afternoon and evening. Minimum humidity levels remain above 40
percent area wide this afternoon and Friday for the most part,
then decrease Saturday and especially Sunday and Monday, when
minimum relative humidity ranging from 25 to 35 percent is
forecast. Moderate northeast winds are forecast for the rest of
this afternoon through Sunday, with gusts at times of 20 to 30 mph
especially across the eastern half of South Central Texas. This
may lead to some localized elevated fire weather conditions on
Saturday and Sunday east of I-35 and north of I-10, where drier
fuel conditions are ongoing and when minimum relative humidity
values decrease. Elsewhere, recent rainfall and fuel conditions
should minimize fire weather concerns. Moisture and rain chances
return by the middle part of next week.
