The National Weather Service in Austin San Antonio has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  North central Bexar County in south central Texas...
  Central Comal County in south central Texas...

* Until 645 PM CDT.

* At 547 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Spring
  Branch, or 10 miles west of Canyon Lake Dam, moving south at 5 mph.

  HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect
           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles.

* Locations impacted include...
  Canyon Lake Dam, Canyon Lake, Bulverde, Spring Branch, Smithson
  Valley, Fischer, Guadalupe River State Park, Timberwood Park,
  Anhalt, Honey Creek State Natural Area, Startzville and Specht
  Store.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

Large hail, damaging winds, and continuous cloud to ground lightning
are occurring with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is
one of nature`s leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder,
you are close enough to be struck by lightning.

If on or near Canyon Lake, get away from the water and move indoors
or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now!  Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
