This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of west central
Minnesota, central South Dakota, north central South Dakota, and
northeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

A complex storm system will cross the region today through
tonight, bringing heavy snow and strong northerly winds along with
it. Snowfall amounts will range from 2 to 3 inches along the North
Dakota, South Dakota border, to over a foot, along and south of
Highway 14. The tightest snowfall gradient is along Highway 12.

The combination of falling snow and wind gust exceeding 45 mph
will result in blizzard conditions.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Blizzard conditions should continue in southeastern South Dakota
through Saturday afternoon before conditions improve.


Spotter activation may be requested. Weather spotters are
encouraged to submit snowfall reports or impacts to travel to the
National Weather Service in Aberdeen. The public may also submit
reports at our webpage, Facebook page, or on Twitter.
