Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

The overnight hours saw mostly cloudy skies across the region with
showers north of Interstate 70 moving off to the east.
Temperatures as of two in the morning ranged from 46 in Wray,
Colorado to 52 in Oakley, Kansas. Winds have been from the east at
around 10 mph.

OUTLOOK... Today, skies are forecast to become partly cloudy late
in the morning, before becoming mostly cloudy with showers and
storms during the evening. High temperatures are forecast to warm
to near 70. Tonight, with cloud cover and potential storms and
showers, low temperatures are forecast to drop into the 40`s and
50`s. Tomorrow, an active day is forecast for the area. The
morning is forecast to start with cloudy skies, fog, and maybe a
few storms. The cloud cover is forecast to clear as the day goes
on, though locales closer to Central Kansas and Nebraska may stay
under cloud cover all day. During the afternoon hours, blowing
dust could develop for parts of the area generally near and south
of Interstate 70. By the late afternoon, storms could form and be
severe with large hail and tornadoes as the main threats. Any
hazards should end during the late evening and overnight hours.
Highs tomorrow will range from the mid 60`s to mid 80`s.
