Showers and thunderstorms developed over portions of Kansas and
Oklahoma this afternoon, producing gusty winds and hail. Afternoon
high temperatures in the 80s and 90s were observed from the Dakotas
to the Red River Valley.

Chances for showers and storms will continue into the overnight
hours as activity moves to the south. Overnight low temperatures
will range from the 50s and 60s in Nebraska and Kansas to the 70s in
Oklahoma and Texas. Light winds are expected throughout the Central
Plains heading into Wednesday morning.

High temperatures in the 90s and approaching 100 are anticipated
throughout the Plains on Wednesday. Showers and storms will be
possible across eastern Nebraska into South Dakota through the
morning, with portions of Oklahoma and Missouri having chances for
rain by the afternoon. South winds are expected over the area, with
gusts approaching 20 mph possible over western Kansas.
