.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 110 PM CDT Thu May 9 2024

An active northwest flow pattern is forecast tonight through the
weekend. This should keep our weather dry, with seasonal
temperatures for the duration. Lower dew point air will make for
more comfortable conditions. Within this northwest flow pattern
we will see some clouds from time to time.

The pattern becomes more active next week with on and off
chances for showers and thunderstorms. A consensus of the
ensemble mean solutions shows a more active quasi-zonal flow
regime, with Gulf air back over the area. At this time there is
too much model spread to determine the chance for any robust
strong convection.
