094 FXUS63 KPAH 100502 AFDPAH Area Forecast Discussion National Weather Service Paducah KY 1202 AM CDT Fri May 10 2024 .KEY MESSAGES... - Dry with close to normal temperatures through the weekend. - Shower and thunderstorm chances return next week. && .DISCUSSION... Issued at 110 PM CDT Thu May 9 2024 An active northwest flow pattern is forecast tonight through the weekend. This should keep our weather dry, with seasonal temperatures for the duration. Lower dew point air will make for more comfortable conditions. Within this northwest flow pattern we will see some clouds from time to time. The pattern becomes more active next week with on and off chances for showers and thunderstorms. A consensus of the ensemble mean solutions shows a more active quasi-zonal flow regime, with Gulf air back over the area. At this time there is too much model spread to determine the chance for any robust strong convection. && .AVIATION /06Z TAFS THROUGH 06Z SATURDAY/... Issued at 1202 AM CDT Fri May 10 2024 An area of MVFR ceilings will move south over the entire area overnight through daybreak. However, its duration at any one location may only be a few hours. 4-6kft ceilings are expected through the afternoon and possibly into the evening. && .PAH WATCHES/WARNINGS/ADVISORIES... IL...None.
