This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...south
central...southwest and west central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Day 1 Discussion

Elevated fire weather conditions are expected west of Highway 283
and south of Highway 96 through 7 pm where afternoon relative
humidity will be in the 18 to 24 percent range and south winds of
15 to 20 mph.

Days 2-7 Discussion

Critical fire weather conditions are likely on Friday across much
of southwest Kansas. A Fire Weather Watch is in effect Friday
afternoon west of a Scott City to Dodge City to Medicine Lodge
line. Refer to the latest fire weather product (TOPRFWDDC) for
more details.
