...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHERN JIM HOGG AND NORTHERN
BROOKS COUNTIES THROUGH 600 PM CDT...

At 517 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 8 miles northwest of Realitos, or 14 miles west of
Benavides, moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Falfurrias, Hebbronville, Gruy Stadium, La Colonia Park, Airport Road
Addition, South Fork Estates, Falfurrias Junior High School, Las
Lomitas, Pleasant Park, and Jim Hogg County Airport.

This includes US Highway 281 between mile markers 708 and 726.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
