This hazardous weather outlook is for eastern Utah and western

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Today snow will contine over the northern and central mountains
with some snow over valley floors. 2 to 5 additional inches of
snow are expected above 8000 feet with local amounts of up to 7
inches above the treeline. Storm total accumulations of 5 to 10
inches are expected with up to 15 inches in the higher terrain by

Later tonight freezing temperatures threaten to damage sensitive
vegetation in the Grand Valley, Moab and the Grand Flat in east-
central Utah.

Another round of windy and unsettled conditions is possible
Monday night into Tuesday of next week with snow developing.


Spotter activation is not expected today or tonight, however
spotters are encouraged to report snowfall amounts to the
National Weather Service in Grand Junction.
