At 228 PM, National Weather Service radar detected scattered
showers and thunderstorms generally southwest of a Tulsa to Fort
Smith line. Thunderstorms with locally heavy rain were located in
Pittsburg and Pushmataha counties in Oklahoma. Movement was to the
east at around 30 mph. The average amount where it rained last hour
was around one tenth of an inch with maximum amounts of one half to
three quarters of an inch. Coverage, and intensity increased during
the last hour. The Tulsa area forecast for late this afternoon,
mostly sunny, a chance of showers and thunderstorms with
temperatures 75 to 78 degrees and north winds 5 to 10 mph.
