Flood Advisory
National Weather Service Pueblo CO
324 PM MDT FRI MAY 18 2018

El Paso CO-
324 PM MDT FRI MAY 18 2018

The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
West central El Paso County in east central Colorado...

* Until 530 PM MDT

* At 323 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in
the advisory area. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Western Colorado Springs, Western and northern portions of the
Waldo Burn Scar, Air Force Academy and Manitou Springs.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

Move away from burned areas. Minor flooding of creeks, roads and
normally dry arroyos is likely. The heavy rains will likely trigger
rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep terrain, especially
in and around these areas.
