.DISCUSSION...Got a lot of moving parts here today. There will be
a frontal passage at the burn site today around noon CDT. Until
then, light southerly (170-190 direction) winds will become
southwest (210-240 direction) this morning and increase to 10 to
20 mph with some gustiness at times. Behind the frontal passage,
much drier air will be ushered into the area on winds becoming
west-northwest (270-290) and increasing to 15 to 25 mph with
gusts up to 35 mph. Minimum afternoon relative humidity in this
airmass is expected to bottom out between 20 and 25 percent.
Finally, this frontal boundary is trying to force some shower
development along it. However, by the time any showers or
sprinkles would reach the burn site, mid-day, most of it is
expected to be evaporating before it reaches the ground. This
could briefly make the winds a bit stronger and chaotic, until the
clouds clear off, leaving a mostly sunny afternoon sky in place.
