The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
  Southwestern Jackson County in southwestern Oregon...

* Until 830 PM PDT

* At 534 PM PDT, trained weather spotters reported heavy rain in
  around the Ruch area due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban
  and small stream flooding. Up to one inch of rain has already

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Jacksonville, Cantrall Buckley County Park, Britt Gardens,
  Jacksonville Woodlands Association Trails, Woodrat Mountain and

Additional rainfall of an inch to an inch and a half is possible
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

* This includes...
   Highway 238 in Oregon between mile markers 19 and 33.


Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
