OPEN LAKE FORECAST for Lake Michigan
National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI
235 PM CDT Tue Sep 17 2019

FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

A Marine Dense Fog Advisory is in effect for the northern and
western portion of Lake Michigan through about 10 am Wednesday.

High pressure of 30.2 inches will hold nearly stationary from the
eastern Great Lakes into New England through the first part of the
coming weekend. Meanwhile, an elongated trough of low pressure
averaging 29.3 inches will form across the central and northern
Great Plains. Together, this will result in south to southeast
flow across Lake Michigan through Saturday. Eventually, a cold
front will sweep across Lake Michigan later on Sunday, veering
winds to the west.
