Today, temperatures in north central Nebraska were around 15 to 20
degrees below normal, with highs only in the 40s. For western and
southwest Nebraska temperatures were in the 50s, which is only
around 5 to 10 degrees below normal. Strong northwest winds were
present for much of the afternoon with gusts up to 35 to 40 mph.

For tonight, mostly clear skies will help temperatures drop into
the 20s across the area. Portions of north central Nebraska will
see increasing clouds during the early morning hours. Northerly
winds will be light during the early evening, before shifting out
of the south by morning.
