...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EDT TONIGHT...

The Flood Watch is now in effect for

* Portions of north central Georgia...northeast Georgia and
  northwest Georgia...including the following areas...in north
  central Georgia...Dawson...Fannin...Forsyth...Gilmer...Hall...
  Lumpkin...Pickens and Union. In northeast Georgia...Banks...
  Jackson...Madison...Towns and White. In northwest Georgia...
  Catoosa...Dade...Murray...Walker and Whitfield.

* Until midnight EDT tonight

* Additional rainfall amounts up to an inch are possible within
  the watch area.

* Rises in creeks and rivers are expected, some of which may go
  out of their banks closing roads or impacting property. High
  water will not recede until well after the rain has ended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
