Rip Current Risk:      Low Risk. The risk for rip currents is low, however,
                       life threatening rip currents often occur in the
                       vicinity of the South Padre Island jetties. Remember
                       to swim near a lifeguard.

Lightning Risk:       None.

Ultraviolet Index:     High. Wear a wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses,
                       and use sunscreen of SPF 15 or higher. Remain in
                       shade if possible.

Weather:               Mostly cloudy in the morning then becoming partly

Temperatures:          Low 80s.

Wind:                  Southeast 10 to 15 mph.

Wave Heights:          2 feet.

Surf Temperature:      70 degrees.

Bay Temperature:       69 degrees.

Tides:                 A low at 9 56 am. A high at 4 43 pm.
                       A minor low at 10 03 pm.

Outlook:               The rip current risk will remain low
                       into early next week. Increased northerly
                       winds will lead to an elevated risk of
                       rip currents on Tuesday. Chance of showers
                       and thunderstorms Sunday night into Monday.
                       Warm and humid conditions to remain through
                       Monday as high temperatures reach near 80
                       degrees for each day.
