Increasing southerly winds across the region today made way for
warmer than normal temperatures across the area. Highs reached the
upper 60s to low 70s across Kansas. Winds were gusty at times,
with sustained speeds of 20-25 miles per hour with gusts nearing
35 miles per hour. With the mild temperatures and gusty winds, the
main weather concern across the region has been fire weather,
which resulted in a Red Flag Warning across much of the southern

Overnight tonight, winds are expected to diminish after sunset.
Lows are expected to range from the upper 20s in northern Nebraska
to the mid 40s across much of central, south central, and
southeast Kansas.

A nice day is in store across the region on Thursday as southerly
winds pick up once again. Highs in the mid 70s to mid 80s are
expected across Kansas with mostly sunny skies across mid-America.
