A large storm system continues to move slowly eastward away from the
area this morning but breezy northwest winds and clouds remain
across the area. Early morning temperatures were well below normal
ranging from the upper teens across northwest Kansas to the lower
30s over eastern Kansas.

A ridge of high pressure will plunge south across the region today
allowing winds to subside late in the day and tonight. Afternoon
highs will remain below normal ranging from the mid 60s over extreme
southwest Kansas to the mid 30s across northeast Kansas.

Light winds and clear skies will prevail tonight allowing
temperatures to plummet into the teens over north central Kansas
while south winds return to southwest Kansas helping to keep lows in
the low to mid 30s.
