Hydrologic Outlook
National Weather Service Elko NV
342 PM PDT Sat Apr 7 2018

...Minor small stream and overland flooding possible through
this evening...

In addition to moderate rains over the past 24 hours, gusty
southwesterly winds will continue to melt some of the mountain
snowpack this evening, while scattered showers and thunderstorms
could produce locally moderate to heavy shower activity.

This combination of additional water may lead to minor overland
flooding, as well as rapid rises in creeks and streams.
Significant flooding is not expected at this time, however
secondary dirt roads may become muddy and impassable.

Use caution and plan accordingly if traveling on rural roads or
venturing into the backcountry.
