Scattered storms affected locations generally along and east of
Interstate 135 this afternoon with the stronger storms producing
brief heavy rain and gusty winds. Late afternoon temperatures
were generally in the 85 to 90 degree range across central and
eastern Kansas.

Scattered storms are expected to continue this evening for parts
of eastern Kansas, central and eastern Oklahoma along with western
Missouri. Additional storms are expected to develop over the high
Plains of eastern Colorado and western Kansas this evening and
track east overnight, possibly moving into central Kansas toward

Storms will again be possible on Friday across eastern Kansas,
central and eastern Oklahoma along with most of Missouri. Brief
heavy rain and gusty winds will be the main threats with these

Overnight lows are expected to range from the low 50s over western
Nebraska, to the upper 60s over eastern Oklahoma. Look for highs
on Friday to generally be in the upper 80s to around 90 degrees
