...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Central New Hanover County in southeastern North
Carolina...
* WHEN...Until 545 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 244 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Wilmington, Wrightsville Beach, North Masonboro Island, South
Masonboro Island, University Of North Carolina At Wilmington,
Masonboro, Seagate, Windemere, Mayfaire, Kings Grant, Landfall,
Silver Lake, Myrtle Grove, Ogden, Bayshore, Cape Fear Hospital
and New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
