National Weather Service Missoula MT
223 PM MDT Sun Jul 13 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Idaho (Zones 102 and 103): West winds will increase through the day on
Monday with continued hot and dry conditions. Elevated fire weather
concerns are expected Monday as the ridge begins to break down and
westerly gusts of 20 to 25 mph develop. A cold front will bring a north
and east wind shift late Monday night into Tuesday morning. There are
chances for rain on Tuesday, but widespread wetting rain is unlikely.

Northwest MT (Zones 104 and 105): West winds will increase through the
day on Monday with continued hot and dry conditions. A cold front will
arrive Monday evening, with a significant wind shift to strong northeast
winds, much cooler temperatures, and widespread precipitation. Wetting
rains are expected, with the highest rain amounts of 0.50 to 1.00 inches
in Glacier Park and northern sections of the Flathead. East winds and
showers remain through Tuesday.

West Central MT (Zones 106, 107 and 108): West winds will increase
through the day on Monday with continued hot and dry conditions. The
ridge is expected to break down on Monday, bringing elevated fire
weather concerns due to increasing winds. A strong cold front moving
south out of Canada will arrive Monday night, leading to gusty north to
east winds, cooler temperatures, and higher humidity.

Southwest MT (Zones 109, 110 and 111): Northwest winds will increase
through the day on Monday with continued hot and dry conditions. The
ridge is expected to break down on Monday, bringing elevated fire
weather concerns due to increasing winds. A strong cold front moving
south out of Canada will arrive Monday night, leading to gusty north to
east winds, cooler temperatures, and higher humidity. There are
increasing chances for thunderstorms on by Tuesday afternoon.
