.DISCUSSION...An upper-level trough of low pressure over the eastern
Pacific Ocean and a deep marine layer will bring drizzle or light
showers to the burn area Friday morning. Strong onshore flow in place
will continue to moderate fire weather conditions with excellent
overnight recoveries through Sunday. Locally gusty onshore winds with
gusts up to 25 mph are possible across the area Friday, strongest
during the afternoon hours. A warming and drying trend will develop
early next as the trough exits, but another trough will move in for
midweek next week.

.FRIDAY...

Sky/weather.........Partly sunny. Slight chance of rain showers.
Max temperature.....63-67 degrees.
Min humidity........54-58 percent.
Eye level winds.....Variable winds 3 mph or less until 1000 hours
becoming southwest 3 to 6 mph. Wind shifting
to the west 3 to 8 mph between 1200 hours and
1330 hours.
Wind (20 ft)........
 Slope/valley.......Southwest 3 to 8 mph until 1000 hours increasing
to 5 to 10 mph with gusts to 15 mph. Wind
shifting to the west between 1200 hours and 1330
hours and increasing 8 to 12 mph with gusts up
to 22 mph.
 Ridgetop...........Southwest 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph
                    until 1300 hours shifting to the west 10 to 15
mph with gusts to 25 mph.
Mixing height.......4500-5000 ft AGL early lifting to 5300-5800 ft AGL
                    by 1400 hours.
Transport winds.....West winds around 10 mph.

1900 hours diminishing to variable 2 to 5 mph by
midnight.
 Ridgetop...........West winds 5 to 10 mph with gusts to 20 mph until
1900 hours diminishing to 3 to 8 mph. Winds then
becoming northwest 3 to 8 mph after midnight.
Mixing height.......4400-4900 ft AGL early falling to 1000 ft AGL or
less between 1900 hours and 2300 hours.
Transport winds.....West around 10 mph becoming light and variable
5 mph or less after 2300 hours.
