Fire Weather Planning Forecast For Extreme Southeast Arkansas,
Northeast Louisiana, and Central Mississippi
National Weather Service Jackson MS
148 PM CST Tue Nov 28 2023

.DISCUSSION...
No significant fog development is anticipated Wednesday or Thursday
morning but fog is likely with rain Friday morning. A surface high
will become centered over our area tonight and shift east of
Mississippi Wednesday. Colder than normal temperatures and dry
weather are expected through Wednesday morning. Temperatures will
warm back above normal by Thursday morning and rain chances will
return Thursday as well. A low pressure system will move across
the area Thursday night and Friday and bring a wetting rain. This
system will leave a stalled boundary across the south that will
maintain rain chances, at least across the south through the
weekend. Models differ but Monday is expected to be dry. Rain
amounts Thursday through the weekend could total one to three
inches with the heaviest amounts over the southeast.
