Today, early morning cloud cover held strong into the afternoon
today but eventually broke apart late. That allowed temperatures
to still climb into the 70s for a lot of locations across western
and central Nebraska.

For tonight, scattered rain and a few thunderstorms occurring
along a Gordon to Chappell line will continue to slowly push to
the east this evening. A few of the stronger storms may be capable
of rain rates approaching one inch per hour and nickel sized hail.
Activity is expected to remain west of Highway 83 and should
weaken late tonight. Overnight lows are expected to fall into the
40s and 50s across the entire area.
