Weather Summary for Western and North Central Nebraska

Widespread blizzard conditions were reported across western and
north central Nebraska overnight. Wind gusts in excess of 50 mph
whipped snow causing dangerous white out conditions. The axis of
heavy snow extended from southwest Nebraska northeast into eastern
Cherry county, then east through Boyd and Holt Counties where as
much as 12 to 14 inches of snow accumulated. Most locations saw
far less, with an average of 3 to 5 inches reported across the
forecast area.

Today, dangerous blizzard conditions continue as winds gust in
excess of 40 mph. Snow will taper off from west to east with the
system slowly pulling off to the east.
