This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north
central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

A powerful storm system crosses the region today into tomorrow,
bring high winds and precipitation. A High Wind Warning goes into
effect tonight for strong northerly wind gusts between 40 and 60
miles per hour.

As precipitation switches over from rain to snow tonight, winter
weather impacts are expected across the Sandhills, southwest
Nebraska, and north central Nebraska. High winds during periods of
snowfall will create areas of blowing snow and reduced visibility.
Near whiteout to whiteout conditions are possible during period of
increased snowfall. A Blizzard Warning and a Winter Storm Warning
are in effect overnight into Wednesday afternoon.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Winter weather impacts continue through late Wednesday morning, with
new snow accumulations from 1 to 5 inches across the region. The
highest snowfall totals are expected along and east of a Hayes Center
to North Platte to Stapleton to O`Neill line, where new accumulations
of 3 to 5 inches are possible.

As the snow tracks further to the east, high winds will remain across
western and north central Nebraska through Wednesday evening.
