...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...

  Nearshore Waters from Wilmette Harbor to Calumet Harbor...

  Open Waters from Winthrop Harbor to Michigan City out to Mid
Lake...

At 921 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located near the Harrison Dever Crib and along a line extending from
29 nm west of The St. Joseph Pierheads to 14 nm east of Wilmette
Harbor to near 31st Street Harbor, moving east at 25 knots.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.
