.THE 2019 SPRING SEASON WAS COOLER THAN NORMAL WITH ABOVE NORMAL
PRECIPITATION AT BRAINERD MN...

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE SPRING SEASON WAS 39.4 DEGREES WHICH
WAS 3.5 DEGREES BELOW THE NORMAL OF 42.9 DEGREES. THE HIGHEST
TEMPERATURE FOR THE SPRING WAS 90 DEGREES ON MAY 31ST. THE LOWEST
TEMPERATURE FOR THE SPRING WAS -24 DEGREES ON MARCH 4TH. NO MONTHLY
TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE BROKEN THIS SPRING.

THE SPRING OF 2019 WAS ABOVE NORMAL FOR PRECIPITATION WITH A TOTAL
OF 7.90 INCHES RECORDED FOR THE SEASON. THIS WAS 0.66 INCHES ABOVE
THE NORMAL OF 7.24 INCHES. THE GREATEST DAILY PRECIPITATION OCCURRED
ON MARCH 13TH WHEN 1.10 INCHES WAS RECORDED. AT LEAST 0.01 INCHES OF
PRECIPITATION FELL ON 33 DAYS. AT LEAST 0.10 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION
FELL ON 19 DAYS. AT LEAST 0.50 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION FELL ON 7
DAYS. AT LEAST 1 INCH OF PRECIPITATION FELL ON 1 DAY. NO MONTHLY
PRECIPITATION RECORDS WERE BROKEN THIS SPRING.

THE SPRING OF 2019 WAS ABOVE NORMAL FOR SNOWFALL WITH A TOTAL OF
18.7 INCHES OF SNOW FOR THE SEASON. THIS IS 4.5 INCHES ABOVE THE
NORMAL OF 14.2 INCHES. THE GREATEST DAILY SNOWFALL OCCURRED ON MARCH
9TH AND APRIL 11TH WHERE 7.0 INCHES OF SNOW WAS RECORDED. NO MONTHLY
SNOWFALL RECORDS WERE BROKEN THIS SPRING. HOWEVER...APRIL WAS THE
5TH SNOWIEST ON RECORD WITH A TOTAL OF 9.4 INCHES OF SNOW RECORDED
FOR THE MONTH.

THE AVERAGE WIND SPEED FOR THE SPRING WAS 7.9 MPH. THE HIGHEST
SUSTAINED WIND OCCURRED ON MARCH 14TH WITH A SPEED OF 33 MPH OUT OF
THE NORTH. THE HIGHEST PEAK WIND GUST OCCURRED ON MARCH 14TH WITH A
SPEED OF 43 MPH OUT OF THE NORTH NORTHWEST.

THERE WERE 2300 HEATING DEGREE DAYS FOR THE SPRING WHICH WAS 245
ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 2055. THERE WERE 10 COOLING DEGREE DAYS FOR THE
SPRING WHICH WAS 11 BELOW THE NORMAL OF 21.

THE OUTLOOK FOR SUMMER...NORMAL HIGHS START IN THE LOW TO MID 70S IN
EARLY JUNE AND PEAK TO THE LOW 80S DURING JULY. BY THE END OF AUGUST
NORMAL HIGHS COOL TO THE MID 70S. NORMAL LOWS START IN THE LOW 50S
AND WARM TO THE UPPER 50S BY EARLY JULY. BY THE END OF AUGUST NORMAL
LOWS COOL TO THE LOW TO MID 50S. NORMAL PRECIPITATION FOR THE SUMMER
IS 11.24 INCHES. THE LATEST CLIMATE PREDICTION CENTER OUTLOOK
INDICATES THAT THERE IS NO CLEAR INDICATION FOR ABOVE OR BELOW
PRECIPITATION AND ODDS ARE TILTED TOWARD BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES.
