An upper ridge continues to be elongated from the central United
States in the  the central portions of the Great Basin through the
week. This allows abundant monsoonal moisture to move into the
region each afternoon bringing a threat of showers and wet
thunderstorms. some thunderstorms may produce brief heavy
downpours.

                    thunderstorms may produce gusty winds in the
