The National Weather Service in OXNARD has issued a

* Special Marine Warning for...
  East Santa Barbara Channel from Pt. Conception to Pt. Mugu CA
  including Santa Cruz Island...

* Until 945 PM PDT.

* At 918 PM PDT, a shower capable of producing waterspouts was
  located 9 nm west of Rincon Point, or 32 nm northeast of Santa Rosa
  Island, moving northeast at 15 knots.

  HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small
           hail.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Waterspouts can create locally hazardous seas. Small
           craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and
           suddenly higher waves.

* The shower will remain over mainly open waters.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous
seas. Seek safe harbor immediately.
