A cold front surged south into the northern half of Kansas
overnight, with falling temperatures and strong north winds in its
wake. Meanwhile, strong to severe thunderstorms impacted northeast
Kansas, with large hail and damaging winds. Predawn temperatures
ranged from 30s and 40s over northern Kansas, to near 70 degrees
over southeast Kansas.

Showers and thunderstorms will impact eastern Kansas this morning,
with storms possible much of the day across Missouri. Severe
thunderstorms are possible over Missouri. Meanwhile, a strong cold
front will continue to drive south through the region today, with
falling temperatures into the 40s and 50s and strong north winds in
its wake. Wind gusts exceeding 35 to 40 mph are likely.

Winds will diminishing this evening, with forecast low temperatures
tonight in the 30s and 40s.
