This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Nevada...north

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

No significant weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

A strong low pressure system will track across southern Nevada on
Thursday. Rain and snow showers will develop across western
Nevada Wednesday evening and then expand eastward into northern
and especially central Nevada later Wednesday night through
Thursday. Liquid- equivalent precipitation totals will generally
range from 0.10 to 0.30 inches with locally higher amounts
occurring in and around the mountains of central Nevada. Several
inches of wet snow could fall in the highest elevations of
southern Lander and northwestern Nye counties with some light
accumulations possible in a few of the higher valleys like Austin.

Strong gusty winds could develop in the wake of this low pressure
system Thursday and early evening in northwestern Nye county, and
later Thursday night into Friday morning in the downslope areas of
far eastern Elko County along the Utah border.

Quieter weather gradually returns to the region Friday into Friday
night followed by fair skies and warmer temperatures in the 60s
and 70s over the weekend.

Spotters are asked to report weather phenomena according to
standard operating procedure.
