Regional Weather Summary for the High Plains

High clouds moved into the region overnight and remained early
this afternoon. Overnight temperatures ranged from 43 at
Culbertson Nebraska to 63 at Hill City Kansas. Early this
afternoon, temperatures rebounded from morning lows and ranged
from the middle 70s to near 90 degrees. Winds were from the south
with many areas gusting to 30 mph.

OUTLOOK... A weather system over the mountains will bring chances
of scattered thunderstorms to the area over the next few days,
mainly during the afternoon and evening hours. A summerlike
pattern will persist with temperatures above normal. Highs
Wednesday will be in the middle to upper 80s with highs Thursday
ranging from the middle 80s to lower 90s, with the warmest
temperatures across southern portions of Colorado and Kansas.
Unseasonably warm temperatures will continue later in the week
through the weekend.
