Dry and windy conditions will develop across the region today, which
will lead to critical fire weather conditions. There may be a few
isolated showers or thundershowers this afternoon across eastern
South Dakota. Surface high pressure will settle into the area
overnight, bringing light winds and cold temperatures. A potent low
pressure system will move east across the region Friday night into
Saturday, spreading rain and areas of wet accumulating snow over the
forecast area.

Highs today will rise into the 60s and low 70s. Lows tonight will
drop into the upper 20s to mid 30s. Highs on Friday will rise into
the upper 50s to low 60s.
