Flow around broad high pressure will result in a stiff south to
southeast breeze which will bring in humid air across the Dakotas and
western Minnesota. An upper system will make a very slow transition
across the Dakotas today, tonight and Saturday. Scattered
thunderstorm activity can be expected in the vicinity of this upper
level wave over the next 24 hours or so, however another couple of
systems will follow resulting in an active, wet weekend and start of
next week. Additionally, mild conditions, with temperatures topping
out in the 70s and low 80s, will continue through Sunday before more
autumn like air moves in and will dominate temperatures next week.
