WEATHER SYNOPSIS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
211 PM CST THU FEB 14 2019

A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THIS EVENING WITH A SMALL CHANCE
FOR SOME LIGHT SHOWERS OR SPRINKLES, MAINLY ACROSS THE EASTERN
HALF OF THE REGION. A WINTER WEATHER EVENT ON FRIDAY CONTINUES TO
BE THE MAIN CONCERN. SURFACE LOW PRESSURE TRACKING WELL TO OUR
SOUTH WILL SPREAD PRECIPITATION IN DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS,
CONTINUING INTO THE EVENING. ACCUMULATING SNOW, SLEET, AND ICE IS
LIKELY WITH TRAVEL IMPACTS FRIDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING. DRY
CONDITIONS MOVE IN BY EARLY SATURDAY MORNING WITH TEMPERATURES
WARMING ABOVE FREEZING ACROSS THE REGION BY SATURDAY AFTERNOON. A
WEAKER SYSTEM LOOKS TO SPREAD A WINTRY MIX ACROSS THE REGION
SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY MORNING, BUT ONLY MINIMAL ACCUMULATIONS
ARE FORECAST WITH THIS SYSTEM. THE ACTIVE WEATHER PATTERN LOOKS
TO CONTINUE NEXT WEEK WITH ANOTHER CHANCE OF PRECIPITATION
RETURNING ON TUESDAY. TEMPERATURES WILL BE BELOW NORMAL FRIDAY AND
SATURDAY BEFORE RETURNING CLOSER TO NORMAL WITH HIGHS MAINLY IN
THE 40S SUNDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.
