...LAKESHORE FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON EST
TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Significant lakeshore flooding.

* WHERE...Huron and Sanilac Counties.

* WHEN...Until noon EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Numerous roads closed and low lying property
  including parking lots, lawns, and homes and businesses will
  be inundated near the lake. Some shoreline erosion will occur.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...North winds will gust to around 35 mph this
  evening into tonight with a gradual backing to northwest flow
  into Tuesday. The wind and resulting high waves will likely
  produce damage to structures along the shoreline in addition to
  some flooding and erosion.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be
closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of
unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone
property.

TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Minor lakeshore flooding.

* WHERE...Bay and Tuscola Counties.

* WHEN...Until 11 PM EST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Some water on low lying roads and property along the
  lakeshore.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...North to Northeast winds of 20 to 30 mph
  this evening into tonight will become northwest late tonight
  into Tuesday. The water level is expected to peak at around 56
  inches at Essexville this afternoon and approach that level
  again on Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Residents on or near the shore should take appropriate action to
protect property from rising water levels.
