WEATHERWISE DURING OCTOBER 2020, SHREVEPORT RECORDED NEAR NORMAL MONTHLY
TEMPERATURES, BUT BELOW NORMAL MONTHLY RAINFALL. THE MAIN WEATHER
HIGHLIGHT FOR THE MONTH WAS THE PASSAGE OF TROPICAL STORM DELTA ACROSS
CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST LOUISIANA, WHICH DID PROVIDE NEARLY HALF OF THE
MONTHLY RAINFALL ON THE 9TH-10TH WITH RAINFALL AMOUNTS JUST BELOW AN INCH
RECORDED AT THE SHREVEPORT REGIONAL AIRPORT. HOWEVER, WIND IMPACTS FROM THIS
SYSTEM WERE MINIMAL ACROSS THE SHREVEPORT/BOSSIER CITY AREA, WITH WIND
GUSTS OF 25-30 MPH. NO SEVERE WEATHER WAS OBSERVED ACROSS THE REGION DURING
THE MONTH.

SHREVEPORT DID NOT SET OR TIE ANY DAILY TEMPERATURE OR RAINFALL RECORDS
DURING OCTOBER, ALTHOUGH BELOW NORMAL TEMPERATURES WERE OBSERVED DURING THE
FINAL WEEK OF THE MONTH.
