...Thunderstorms with heavy downpours this afternoon and evening...

Across the northeast corner of Washington into the far northern
Idaho Panhandle, the threat for thunderstorms will increase through
the day. Some thunderstorms will likely produce heavy downpours. Up
to an inch of rainfall in less than 3 hours is possible. These
rainfall amounts could lead to localized flooding or mud slides,
especially in steep slopes. Urban areas will be susceptible to
ponding of water in heavy rains.

The thunderstorm threat will decrease late this evening.
