Hydrologic Outlook
National Weather Service Great Falls MT
1239 PM MDT Fri Jun 26 2020

...Significant rises to small streams and mainstem rivers, as well
as ponding and overland flow in low lying areas are possible from
Sunday night through Wednesday...

Rainfall is expected to develop Sunday night through Tuesday across
much of North Central and Central Montana. Periods of heavy rainfall
are possible during this time which may cause smaller streams and
rivers to swell.

In addition to stream rises, ponding in low lying areas and overland
flow is also possible. Rural roads may become impassable, or
inundated in areas where this is common.

The exact amounts and locations of the heaviest rainfall are still
uncertain at this time, but confidence is increasing that a
widespread precipitation event will affect the area. Any
preparations to protect livestock, forage, equipment, or other
assets should be made now.
