The National Weather Service in Juneau has extended the

* Flood Advisory for Minor Flooding in Poor Drainage Areas from...
  Rain and Snowmelt... Around the Salmon River near Gustavus in the
  Northern Inner Channels..

* Until 300 PM AKST Friday.

* At 215 PM AKST, emergency management and river gauges reported
  continued flooding in Gustavus in the Rink Creek and Salmon River
  areas. Overflowing poor drainage areas are producing minor
  impacts. Around 5 inches of rain has fallen over the past 3 days
  with an additional 1 to 1.5 inches of rain expected over the next
  24 hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated, or ponding
of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
