GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS ARE EXPECTED THIS AFTERNOON AND SHIFTING TO
THE NORTH ON TUESDAY. GUSTS OVER 30 MPH WILL BE POSSIBLE FOR
LOCATIONS SUCH AS ESMERALDA AND NYE COUNTIES WITH MIN RH VALUES IN
THE 15-25 PERCENT RANGE. THIS WILL RESULT IN AN ELEVATED WILDFIRE
RISK TODAY, BUT STAYING GENERALLY BELOW CRITICAL THRESHOLDS.
ELEVATED WINDS WILL BE FOCUSED ALONG THE COLORADO RIVER VALLEY
TUESDAY.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

LOCALLY ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WITH WEAK OFFSHORE WINDS

PASSES AND ACROSS FOOTHILLS AND INTERIOR VALLEYS OF SAN BERNARDINO,
RIVERSIDE AND ORANGE COUNTIES, SPREADING SOUTH INTO SAN DIEGO COUNTY
BY FRIDAY MORNING. WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO PEAK FRIDAY, WITH MAXIMUM
GUSTS OF 40-50 MPH FOR WIND-PRONE LOCATIONS AND RELATIVE HUMIDITY
LOWERING 10-15% AWAY FROM THE COAST DURING THE AFTERNOON/EVENING
HOURS.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

A FAST MOVING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL DIVE SOUTHEASTWARD AND ACROSS
THE DISTRICTS TODAY INTO TUESDAY, USHERING IN RELATIVELY DRY BUT
MUCH COOLER AIR. NO PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED IN THE AREA WITH THIS
SYSTEM. HIGHS NEAR 80S ACROSS THE LOWER DESERTS TODAY WILL FALL INTO
THE LOW TO MID 70S TUESDAY. HUMIDITY WILL BE RELATIVELY LOW; MINIMUM
RH VALUES TODAY OVER THE DESERTS WILL MOSTLY RANGE BETWEEN 15 AND
20 PERCENT, AND WILL RISE A FEW PERCENT TOMORROW. LOOK FOR BREEZY
SOUTHWEST TO WEST WINDS THIS AFTERNOON ESPECIALLY ACROSS WESTERN
IMPERIAL COUNTY. WINDS WILL TURN MORE TO THE NORTH TUESDAY AND STAY
BREEZY ACROSS DESERTS TO THE WEST OF PHOENIX.
