854 FZUS63 KMKX 220149 GLFLM OPEN LAKE FORECAST for Lake Michigan National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI 849 PM CDT Sat Jun 21 2025 FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan. Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will occasionally be encountered. .SYNOPSIS... Low pressure around 29.3 inches will move from the Central High Plains to the eastern Dakotas overnight and Sunday, while a weaker low around 29.6 inches tracks from Ontario to southeast Canada. Gusty south winds will continue across the lake, but the colder water temperatures should limit most gale force gusts from reaching the surface. The low over the eastern Dakotas will track northeast into southwest Ontario Sunday night. The low will help pull a cold front eastward toward the western Great Lakes region into Monday. Gusty south to southwest winds will continue during this time. The front will stall out across the Great Lakes through much of next week, which should keep winds on the lighter side.
