Survey Summary:
The tornado started just west of State Highway 83 about 1 mile
southwest of Midway, AL in Conecuh County at EF-1 intensity where
several trees were snapped in a rotating pattern. The tornado then
moved east and crossed Mixonville Rd just south of the community of
Mixonville where multiple pine trees were snapped and uprooted. The
tornado continued eastward and crossed the intersection of County
Road 33 and Osprey Road where additional trees were snapped with
some slight debarking noted on a few trees. The tornado peaked
in intensity at estimated EF-2 strength (115 mph) as it crossed into
Butler County where numerous pine trees were snapped in a wide
swath along portions of State Highway 106. A manufactured home was
rolled near the intersection of State Highway 106 and Interstate 65.
Trees were downed in several neighborhoods in the community of
Georgiana before the tornado likely lifted as the circulation
dissipated just east of Georgiana.

.Significant Damaging Winds Monroe County Alabama...

In addition to the tornado, swaths of significant straight line wind
damage were surveyed in Monroe County Alabama, including in the
community of Vredenburgh where a large pine tree destroyed a
residence (estimated 90 mph), near Buena Vista and Rikard`s Mill
where damaging winds uprooted and snapped trees (90 mph), along a
private camp site east of State Highway 265 where numerous trees
were snapped (100-110 mph), and near the community of Beatrice where
additional trees were downed (90 mph).
