Subject: Discontinuation of river forecast services at 4 streamflow
gages supported by the NWS Forecast Office in Albany, NY
Beginning on June 10, 2026, river flood forecasts produced by NWS
Albany for 4 USGS stream gages will be discontinued. This change is
being made after coordination with local town officials. The
following sites are:
Canajoharie Creek near Canajoharie (CNJN6)
Still River at Brookfield (BKFC3)
West Branch Farmington River near New Boston, MA (NBSM3)
Williams River at Rockingham, VT (RKGV1)
After June 10th, flood hazard services for these locations will be
covered by NWS flood watches, warnings or flash flood warnings. Users
may also be interested in utilizing National Water Model guidance
information available at water.noaa.gov.
