...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING FOR
THE NORTHWEST PLATEAU...MIDDLE RIO GRANDE VALLEY...SANDIA...MANZANO
AND GALLINAS MOUNTAINS DUE TO STRONG WINDS...LOW HUMIDITY...AND
AN UNSTABLE AIRMASS...

.Gusty northwest winds will combine with a very dry and moderately
unstable airmass as well as above normal to near record warmth to
produce critical fire weather conditions over portions of
northwest and central New Mexico this afternoon and early evening.

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 7 PM MDT THIS
EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Red Flag
Warning...which is in effect from noon today to 7 PM MDT this
evening. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* AREA AND TIMING...Northwest Plateau, Sandia, Manzano and
  Gallinas mountains this afternoon and early evening.

* 20 FOOT WINDS...Northwest 20 to 25 mph with gusts to around 35
  mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...9 to 15 percent.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Please advise the appropriate officials or fire crews in the
field of this Red Flag Warning.
