At 855 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 9 miles southeast of Pulaski, or 14 miles southeast of Sandy Island Beach State Park, moving east at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Pulaski, Redfield, Hastings, Williamstown, Parish, Altmar, Osceola, Amboy Center, Howardville, Salmon River Reservoir, Kasoag, North Osceola, and Swancott Mill. This includes Interstate 81 between exits 33 and 36. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
