The National Weather Service in Caribou Maine has issued a

* Flood Warning for...
  An Ice Jam in...
  Northeastern Aroostook County in northern Maine...

* Until 900 PM EDT.

* At 302 PM EDT, an ice jam has been reported by Aroostook Emergency
  Management at the Washburn Bridge on the Aroostook River.

* Water continues to back up behind this ice jam.  Flooding could be
  possible on Gardiner Creek Rd, South Wade Rd, Castle Hill Rd,
  Parson Street, and Washburn Rd.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Mapleton, Washburn, Castle Hill and Wade.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become
unstable and unsafe.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
